THE NEW-BORN CHILD (The Real Solution to Human Problems) Dr. Lawrence Owoyemi

Updated: Dec 30, 2019

“Fear not to take to thee Mary thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. For she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus; for He shall save His people from their sins.”

“Now all this has been done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken from the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and His name shall be called Emmanuel; “thus influencing him by the words of the prophet, and warding off blame from Mary, pointing out that it was she who was the virgin mentioned by Isaiah beforehand, who should give birth to Emmanuel. Joseph was convinced beyond all doubt, he took Mary, and joyfully yielded obedience in regard to all the rest of the given instructions concerning Christ, undertaking a journey into Egypt and back again, and then a removal to Nazareth For this reason, too, did the Lord Himself read at Capernaum the prophecies of Isaiah: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me; to preach the Gospel to the poor He hath sent Me, to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and sight to the blind.” At the same time, showing that it was He Himself who had been foretold by Esaias the prophet, He said to them: “This day is this Scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

The gospel is the ‘’good news’’ that God, through Jesus Christ has provided forgiveness of sin and salvation for eternal life through Jesus who was born, lived to show us the Father, died a horrible and bloody death that He didn’t deserve, on the cross. He took upon Himself the punishment to pay for our sins against God. Three days after His crucifixion, He rose from the grave forever defeating the sting of sin and death. By doing this, He fully satisfied God’s justice against sin.

With sins forgiven, and your faith in Christ, you are free from shackles of eternal doom.

“God anointed Jesus… with the Holy Ghost and with power” (Acts 10:38). “The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us full of grace and truth” (John 1:14); “for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him” (John 3:34); “for it pleased the Father that IN HIM SHOULD ALL FULLNESS DWELL” (Col 1:19). Jesus is the Saviour. “Thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matt 1:21). “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12); “a Prince and a Saviour” (Acts 5:31); “a Saviour, Jesus” (Acts 13:23). “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. The Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all…. For the transgression of my people was he stricken” (Isa 53:5-8). The Name Jesus Christ, therefore, indicates that he who bore it was the promised Messiah (Dan 9:25; John 1:41), filled to the full with the grace of the Holy Spirit, and the Saviour of those that put their trust in him. Holy God: The Bible teaches that God is Holy (1Peter 1:16) which means He is perfect and without sin. Since He is holy, He will not let the guilty go unpunished (Rom. 6:23). Yet, God is also gracious, loving, and merciful, as He has provided a way for salvation (John 3:16, Acts 4:12). Your Sin: Sin is missing the mark of God’s holy perfection (Rom. 3:23). We’ve all lied, stolen, coveted, cheated and used God’s name in vain, thus breaking His commandments (Ex. 20:3-17). As a result, our sins have separated us from God (Isa. 59:2) and we need to reconcile with Him. Jesus is Lord and Saviour As Saviour, Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, paid the wages of sin on the cross, and rose from the dead thus claimed victory over sin and death (Rom.10:9, 10; 1Cor.15:4; 2Cor.5:21). As Lord, He rules over all aspects of life.

Repent and Trust in Christ: True repentance is making a U-turn from sin and turning to God (Luke 9:23). Trusting in Christ is to believe He is the only way to a relationship with God (John 14:6). To merely feel bad or embarrassed over sin leads to eternal death. When repentance is marked by sorrow and belief in Christ, this will produce a reconciled relationship with God. Tomorrow is not guaranteed to you. Repent and believe while you still have time so that the birth of JESUS CHRIST will not be in vain over your life. The GLORIOUS GOSPEL will change your life forever. Pour your heart to God using the following guideline: God, I confess that I have sinned against you and I deserve the penalty. I don’t want the penalty, and I believe that you paid for it for me already by your sinless blood on the cross. Jesus, I pray that you send your spirit to live inside of me to empower me to turn from my sins and change into the person you want me to be.

Thank you so much for taking time to read. I pray you shall not miss heaven. May this day mark the beginning of divine glory and fulfillment in all areas of your life. You’re marked for success and divine protection in JESUS name. Love you! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
